Friday March 14th, 6pm
This full moon ceremony is dedicated to the goddess Ixchell, medicine woman of the ancient Maya civilization. goddess Ixchell is the archetype of a healer, a midwife, and a weaver.
We are all healers in our own ways. It’s important to recognize the healing power of our unique talents. Whether we are cooks, storytellers, poets, singers, dancers, comedians, painters, space designers, or good listeners, our contributions matter for humanity’s well-being.
The main part of our ceremony is a meditation that clears chakras to awaken our inactive Kundalini energy, allowing us to provide healing energy in our lives and community. Ixchell’s serpent crown represents this awakened energy.
In this ceremony, we will make prayer flags as a tribute to Ixchell, the “weaver.” We will gather in a circle and sew the flags together on a strong, long thread. Ixchell, as a weaver, represents the harmony and interconnectedness of humaninty.
I hope you can join us on this magical evening.
