July

You may notice a new header greeting you this month. After nine years, it was time for a quiet refresh.

The design began as a page in one of my art journals and now lives as the endpapers for Wheel of the Goddess, the book I’ve been quietly creating in my art studio.

While the Greenhouse rests, my studio is alive. Wheel of the Goddess continues to unfold, one painting and one poem at a time. Here’s a quiet glimpse.

Mother/Gaia

I need only quiet myself
and lay my body down upon her
to be soothed by her silent hum
and remember where I came from—

the same dark spiral

that turned stars into stones— stones into my bones.

July invites a different rhythm. Rather than gathering in the Greenhouse this month, I’ll be celebrating my 100th birthday in Hawaii with my husband and taking time to play, rest, and refill my creative well. Summer reminds us to honor a different rhythm. A little more play. A little more rest. A little more space for creativity to bloom. I’ll see you again in August, rested, inspired, and ready to gather once more.

‘Til we meet again, may your inner child play, your muse guide you to create, and may you discover the rhythm this season is asking of you.

Sincerely,

Tamara Trejo
