Equinox Retreat

Hello Ladies,

Ahhh, autumn is in the air. Here in Half Moon Bay, fall is the best time of the year. Sunflowers are straddling the seasons, morning dew lingers on the greenhouse grass a little later, and the sun sets before I’ve had dessert. I am always stirred by the rhythm of the changing seasons and love to celebrate these thresholds.

Please join us for an Autumn Equinox Artist Retreat.

Balance Has a Rhythm

On the threshold of the Equinox, we honor the changing season. We’ll gather in the Moon Mothers greenhouse, surrounded by the late-summer garden, and begin with the oldest instrument we have—the body. Breath. Hands. Heartbeat. Then the drums.

There is something powerful about women gathering to make sound together—to listen, respond, take up space, and then become quiet enough to hear what follows. Together, we’ll listen for the rhythm within ourselves and give it voice through the drums.

When the drumming ends, we’ll notice what remains. A feeling. An image. A memory. A color. A word. We’ll carry those echoes into art and writing, allowing the experience to take another form.

’Til we meet again, may you flow with ease into the season of balance. May the still point between dark and light awaken your spirit. And may you harvest the abundance of the season.

Sincerely,

Tamara Trejo
