Turning towards home

Hello Ladies,

As the Wheel of the Year turns toward the darkest season, I turn toward home and family. The grass and plants in the Greenhouse are settling into their winter rest, and so am I.

Our last two gatherings, the Lakshmi Full Moon Ceremony and our final yoga class of the season, were rich and soul-nourishing.

At the October Full Moon Ceremony, we welcomed Lakshmi, goddess of abundance, generosity, beauty, and grace.

Embodying the spirit of Lakshmi, we moved our bodies, awakening every cell to abundant vitality. As twilight settled over the Greenhouse, we rested on the grass, breathing in the vibrations of the singing bowls at that magical time when the veil between worlds grows thin.

Rising from our stillness, we wrote in our journals by candlelight. Gifts were given, profound words were spoken, and our circle was held in song during the closing ritual.

Mother Moon rose brightly above the treeline, just in time for our gypsy call.

At our final yoga gathering, we returned to the simple gifts of movement and breath, celebrating a year of devotion to keeping our bodies healthy and strong. Of course, I couldn’t resist a headstand (with a little help from Jessica), and I balanced tiny pumpkins on my feet just for the fun of it!

I love the contrast between these two gatherings—one mystical and ceremonial, the other grounded, physical, and playful. Both celebrate the joy of being alive in our bodies.

They also remind me that there is something deeply nourishing about women coming together in sacred space. We arrive carrying our individual lives and leave having shared something larger than ourselves.

As we move into the quieter months, I carry the warmth of these gatherings with me. There will be no ceremonies in November or December. The Greenhouse will rest, and the Wheel will continue to turn.

Thank you to all the women who have gathered here this year, bringing your presence, wisdom, laughter, and open hearts.

‘Til we meet again, may you feel the abundance of Lakshmi, remain devoted to keeping your body strong, and embrace this dark season of rest and dreaming.

Sincerely,

Tamara Trejo
